swapping RB25de to an RB25det.. straight fit ?

I was just having a discussion with a mate who owns an R33GTS. and he was thinking of buying an RB25det engine and manual box and swapping it with his RB25de with an auto which i thought was not a bad idea---> if it would work though.

he reckons its just pretty much a straight fit..but wouldn't he need an RB25det ECU for this ? and would need to modify maybe his breaks or whatever.

has anyone done this before ? and is it a straight fit ?

What's involve in doing this sort of conversion ? your thoughts would be appreciated.

ECU an harness, they are different.

i guess i was correct with getting the rb25det ECU..

but does this means i would need the complete loom from gtst to go to the GTS ? like the complete harnes ?

i guess its one complicated process.

why not get a front cut?? that way you get the engine, ECU, harness, brakes, instrument cluster etc all included. Trust me, makes the conversion so much easier.

Yes, you need the engine to ecu harness. You COULD go splicing and soldering but that's worse than just running the other harness.
