I was just emailed a bunch of photos from Michael who was the pro photograpther that was there with that massive lense positioned at start of the straight mainly. He has some unreal shots of GTR Jasons angry looking white R32 GTR on fire, in fact two great shots of this. These and many others will be for sale so can't post them here.

Zed even has time for a wave waiting for GTR's to catch up.

Those sample shots aren't too good for a "pro" photographer

Oh, and it was like a tropical hurricane at my place, so I didn't brave the elements and head out to Oran on Sunday... Looks like I missed an eventful day!

I took a few photos... however, I had worked all night (7pm to 7am), and then went out to the track day, so I wasn't really in the best condition for taking good photographs, hence why all of them are pretty average.. :P The dark and cloudy weather conditions didn't help me. Oh well, better than nothing I suppose, and more importantly, you guys get them for free!

Email me if you want the full size photos.

My fav photo of the lot is:

Let me know what you think.

Cheers,

Tommo.

Yep lighting was not best especially from where Michael took lots of them sort of into the light from the sun. This one from behind is better light and nice drift Jason coming onto the straight.

Hey B-Man yes added a top one with girnie strip. It definitely helps keep the car stuck on the track over the flip flops where it used to be very light. Also carbon fibre front winglets to keep the front down also.

I am impressed Tomo call me.  I love the high shot looking back down the straight where GTR's part to make way for the Zed.

So what's with that Yellow GTR IN FRONT of you John?

No parting of ways there ;)

Yep nice thought yellow GTR out front it must have being lapped. Must have been very frustraing Duncan just running your motor in and watching and feeling the zed and other GTR's flyiiiiiing by? I know I rounded you up a few times at semed like twice your speed or more and did a big sideways slide just missing the wall coming onto the straight just in fornt of you for one of the flybys. Merli you missed a great day and early in the day as you can see from the pics a big line up of GTR's out on the track with the zed busting through. Also the pics I posted were lower res so easier to download, I received a CD today and some realy clear nice shots.

Sep 25 next one at Oran and there has been heaps on interest so should have a great line up of cars, better weather and Duncan might have his yellow thing run in by then?? GTR V Zed challenge will be on. I will have my new twin brake master cylinders changed to smaller ones so they will work and not run off the end of straight as I did this twice. I also had to brake heaps earlier than normal. I might get a good lap time though with less slow GTR's in the way. Might even get some new slicks instead of the second hand ones I use which are about a second off the pace of new ones according to John Web, Porsche Race Driver, who I get them from. Otherwise some semi slicks to shut everyone up.

GTR Jason get your fire bomb fixed and ready hey? Beer Barron put your beer down and have a go you must be keen after experiencing that lot from the side line on Sunday. Got the gear use it and be part of the feeling. Alright I will give you a head start.

By the way those wondering who was the mad driver in the tan coloured old 323 with carby and drum brakes and auto, it was one of our Mechanics Mat who rides some mean bikes and he tired his best to scrape the door handles.

Ha Ha your a funny bugger John. Kel's car is as stock as it's class of RACING allows.

I think you should be more worried if I let Duncan drive my car,,,We would all start calling your barge the Titanic.

But seriously Have you ever thought of actually converting it to a Sports Sedan,,,,you are already 1/2 of the way there.

Neil.

    • I would not be surprised if you are the only person on earth that has the interest/desire to do that lol.  The Haltech base map is a really good starting point, the car will fire easily and drive very well, even on mild boost levels. To me, following your advice sounds like some sort of ancient Chinese water torcher lol (this is not an insult Josh, never change <3)
    • Those car show concepts from the 2000's and 2010's like the Floria and IDx were brilliant and should've gone ahead, at least one of them. But neither Honda nor Nissan are thinking about affordable performance any more, which is truly sad.  Even if Toyota's liquid hydrogen ICE development reaches the point where it's commercially viable and the infrastructure to support it, Honda/Nissan would have to wait until Toyota allow fee access to their patents to offer it with any smaller performance models they released to take advantage of it.
    • A sporty manual RWD coupe with a IL4 Honda engine would only be a good thing I assume we won't see anything released for a few years though, unless informal talks and designs have been going on for a few years,  and due to the current, and future, emmisions and safety requirements, I assume anything "sporty" they would do would be at least some hybrid thingie And hopefully anything they are thinking of has nice lines, without lots of plastic and fake bits hanging off it like that horrendous FK8 that looked like it was designed by a 13 year old The other issue of course in the current market is cost, currently the type R is around $70k, a twin is around $50k Meh, I'm old and grumpy and would rather buy a older model car and waste my coin on that than buying anything currently available new
    • Nissan needs to forget about building SUVs in every size possible and bring back the damn Silvia/200sx duo to compete with the 86/brz. Maybe with the Honda type r motor pointing the right way
