gts4 4wd fluid

hey all,

just wanted to find out what sort of oil/fluid i shud use for the 4wd bottle located in the boot.. my level shows below minimun so just wanted to know what i shud use to fill it up...

your help wud be very much appciated..

power steering fluid will do the trick

actually mate, u need a special fluid, its called "matic D" its only available from nissan genuine only, unsure of the price tho, i need some myself for my 32 gts4, you also need it to top up the resovior in the boot on the drivers side too mate.....as far as i know, its got a special blend (unsure what it is) that stops the fluid from bubbling....from what ive been told, i hope that helps..

well we use good old power steer fluid in the race cars which run plenty of ATESSA and have never had a problem.....yes the manual recommends Matic D maybe we have been lucky so far

i also just use power steering fluid

textron, or dextron III... somthing like that

i was informed by a gearbox bloke that i know, when he did my box, that the difference between the normal fluid and matic D is a "resin" in it that stops the fluid from foaming, is what he said to me i think, just passin on what was told to me guys....hope it helps
