Has Anybody Used A Vg30 Wastegate Actuator

On A Rb20 Standard Turbo To

Lower The Base Boost Setting?

Im Nearly Running 13psi On The Standard

Turbo Nad Would Like To Lower It Down

A Bit For Cruising Around

Standard RB20 wastegate regulates to around 7psi, which is probably what the VG30 does as well. If you're running 13psi, then you either have a wastgate bleed, or a sticky wastegate.

On crusie, you shouldn't be on boost, so changing the wastegate won't make a scrap of difference.

I Thought Rb20's Ran 10psi Standard

And Vg30's Ran 7psi?

Its Running Higher Boost Because

Of The Air Filter And Ces Dump

Pipe With Full 3" Mandrel Exhaust

We I Say Cruising I Mean Daily

Driving At Low Speeds

I Have Heard Of People Doing The Opposite

And Puting The Vg30 One On The Rb20

To Raise Boost.

[RB30-POWER]

VG30 is about 7 psi

RB20 is about 10psi

RB25 is about 5psi

Therfore get a 25 actuator and you can use your boost controller anywhere from 5psi upwards.

VG30 won't fit as the bend in the actuator arm won't clear the compressor outlet. (the outlet is orientated a different way on the VG30)
