1-OIL PUMP HAS SHAT ITSELF?

2-OIL MAYBE TO LIGHT OR THIN?

also when i turn my car to accessers the oil pressure light comes on until pressure goes up,is that normal"?

actually theres quite a lot of threads about oil pressure issues with skylines. mine does it too, im using 10w-40 motul turbolight and sometimes my oil pressure guage just reads 0!!! apparently the pressure senders go dodgy after a while and doesnt read properly. so from what ive been told is only worry if the red warning light comes on

oh thats good?and yeh i prosume there was alot to go through, but seen as though im going away toomorrow morning i thought i would try and get a straight anwser from some>like u so thanks again mate?and i should not worry yeh?

think ill go and get an oil pressure test done toomorrow and that should tell me if its the oil pump not the gauge?i also read that some posted thAT some grades of mobil 1 can cause this.i run mobil1 0w-40 was told that this is to thin so yeh

well, if u had no oil pressure at all, and u drove it for a little while, ur engine would seize up. im guessing you have driven it a bit while the guage has been playing silly buggers? i wouldnt worry too much unless you are hearing weird engine noises or getting a red warning light on the oil guage

edit: btw just reread and u said it sits just above zero. could be because ur using a pretty thin oil, but ive read of a few instances where this has happened. those people didnt seem to have a real oil pressure problem
