My car is a R33. Jus cracked the 100,000km mark. I have noticed a loss in power at about 2000rpm, as i accelerate past 2grand it hesitates up to about 3grand. Could this be a timing a problem and therefore getting a new timing belt fitted would be the solution, or is this sumthing like a coil problem..

I dont know much about car mechanics, but i know enough to buy a skyline.

You should change your timing belt at 100kms unless its already been done, regardless of a miss.

Your problem sounds more like a spark related issue, ie. plugs, coils, ignition module, etc.

Does it happen when the car is warmed up? is it very consistent? does it come and go? Is it really bad or is it just one cylinder? I would need more details. But that isnt to say that some one else can't tell from the information provided.

Yes it happens when the car is warmed up although it is more noticable when its cold, it happens everytime i guess, depending on the circumstance its more noticable than others. Its not REALLY bad, but i have noticed a power loss, i guess that could mean only one cylinder but i really wouldn't know. Thanks
