my r33 apparently is limited at 7000 but i can fly past that to around 7800 is the futrthest im willing to take it. Also has no speed limiter.. and the tune is really good (see dyno sheet) so im guessing its got a chip? anyone know what types of 'chips' people put in these ECU's?

If you purchased the car from Melbourne chances are it is chipped with a Dr Drift chip which removes the speed/rev limiter. they are/were going cheap and many owners brought them. the guys that work at the performance shop I go to said they are nothing but trouble (as one was in my ECU)

I wouldn't recommend trying to redline your RB20 or a piston might go flying through your bonnet!

there is nothing really wrong with that chip except for the redline. There is no point in increasing the limiter on a stock turbo RB20. I had one in my last car and the before and after dyno chart showed round about a 10rwkw increase.

Its just a pretty generic map that most folks can d/l anyway.

btw rev limiter is not removed but raised up to about 8200rpm
