hey guys  

as title says, what does every1 fink of the D2 Racing Suspension (purple in colour)..All comments welcome..good or bad.

i've got some installed in my Cefiro, best suspension i've had in it to date. Has height, damping, camber, rebound adjustents etc. a, and it cost me $1325 delivered to adelaide on a group buy.

Well i have a33 gtr and the D2 is the best suspension i have ever had .It rides great on the road,and its not rigid and hard when you hit ruts and bumps,it makes my car ride smooth and the corner handleing is outstanding.Then when i do the odd track day ,takes no time at all, to wind them up harder for track use.On this gtr and my other 2 gtst i have used apexi n1,hks hypermax,tein and bilstiens with also trying different spring rates on all,and the D2 have just been a alround better ride.Dont get me wrong the other brands i listed still did the job, but not like the D2 and the price of them is great.

yeh they make them for a 32....$1850 from just jap (sydney)

A little cheaper if you go through Nissan Silvia (http://www.nissansilvia.com/forums/index.p...showtopic=99437). I think they also give SAU NSW club members a discount.

Would love to hear from those who have had Whitelines and/or Bilsteins...

im also interested in this suspension for my r33 gtst, does the package for my car also include camber adjust

R33's are the same as R32's I believe, with double wishbones... a top mount camber slide wont work. Adjustable arms or camber pins are the way. :run:

I got a set in my r33 gts-t, i pay $1400 install :) got 1 year warrerty too,

awsome setup, to adjust the height u dont change the spring rate, but u can adjust the spring rate but only by abit.

Very easy to setup, to adjust the damper you just spin the top left or right, hieght is very easy can do with the front wheels on if you know what your doing

i've heard they can fail when put under extreme abuse. a guy here in canberra just bought them for his s13 silvia and he reckons they're pretty cheap and nasty. said he'd set them up the way he likes them, and after a few weeks they'd behave completely differently!

spose thats why bilstein/dms/etc etc is so expensive. simple laws of economics dictate that you get what you pay for i spose!

Any coilover could fall apart under 'abuse', can you quantify a little? Who told you, and under what circumstances?

Has your friend ever used new coilovers before? Has he adjusted them correctly?

I have a pair on my S13, which I bought about 5000kms ago. When you buy new suspension, the springs will sag a little, and they may need re-adjusting, depending on how much pre-load you place on them.

D2, from what I have been told, have in the last year started manufacturing in the UK, the quality of the materials and workmanship externally are pretty good on mine, comparable with the kei office ones I have owned, or silk roads. Its interesting that alot of coilovers out of japan are made in places like china and taiwan - to the jap specifications.

If I had a bad thing to say, it would be that I would have liked extra (harder) dampening adjustment for the rears - I suppose its my own fault for not buying the drift spec ones.

dollar for dollar, there isnt much that will compare, that I have seen.
