power fc

Hey guys i have a power fc for 33 gtst i got the software for laptop and got the cable aswell. I have a prob how do you connect i have tried and it asks for comport and i set it bout it still wont connect. The cable i have is an apexi so any help on this would be good...

what software do you have and what cable is it? is it the apexi fc pro software? or datalogit? are you using the datalogit cable/kit or the official apexi one? you can't use the fc datalogit cable/kit with the fc pro software and vice versa. are u connecting it a laptop or computer? it should be whatever com port the cable is plugged into. if you are pluggin into a laptop using a serial to usb converter try a normal pc with a standard com port instead. let us know how u go, keen to see your results

I have the apexi box and fc pro (got it from hear) i have tried serial to usb aswell as serial. I tried to change com ports but it keeps coming up with some jap thing that say ok or cancel

you can't use the apexi box (as in the one that comes as the new package offered by apexi) and the apexi fc pro software (most likely on this site). they use a different cable somehow and aren't interchageable. the apexi cable u have should have come with software

it did i got it from my tuner who paid alot for it and he had to logon the net to get it and the program he got dose not work

yeah the program you download is for the apexi cable, sold as the package so its the right software and it should work. hmm wonder what the error means? have you tried the apexi fc pro software it may give a different error or something? even those its not supposed to work... have u tried fc ping or fc probe? both are on my site... if they work then you can communicate to the powerfc correctly
