coil overs on r34 GTT **EDIT Coil packs

Hi guys,

I am having issues at high revs 4-5grand +, with my car spluttering and poping and losing power. We dont think its the timing or the knock sensors after running a diagnostic computer.

A few people have said it could be the coil packs, how do i check the them? It would cost a lot to replace them and if there isnt a problem with them that could be a real waste of money.

also another person mentioned the air flow meter.. sound like it could be the problem?

yes indeed, bad suspension components can create spluttering issues.

i had the same problem mate my coils were fine

however it only started happening when i put in new iridium plugs. for the moment i gapped them right down to .6 and this fixed the problem but still happens from time to time

i am going to put some copper ngk plugs in next i have a feeling its the iridium plugs but i will test and see if its is

i took them out and thoroughly inspected them no scorch marks cracks etc plus the fact that they work most of the time now makes me think they are fine. coils are either broken or working from my understanding they dont work intermitently??

also my car was fine before i put iridium plugs in it then it started happening
