ok should be as simple as:

go to area you want to start your thread

click new thread

put in the title and your message in the message box

scroll a little further down and there is a tickbox you'll need to click with something like "do you want to have a poll" and the number of different options in the poll (default 4)

click submit

in the next screen you'll have to put the question for the poll and 4 (or more depending on what you chose in the previous screen) alternate answers in the corresponding boxes
