r32 engine recondition/repair

Recommended Posts

can someone please help me out. i have a 1992 r32 GTS (non-turbo). the timing belt has slipped and it seems my

engine is stuffed. so i am looking for someone who knows their stuff that could recondition/repair it. if anyone

knows of any place in melbourne that does this sort of stuff with skyline engines can they please reply, as i want

to get a few quotes from people who know what they're doing before going through with it. so far i have been

offered a fairly high price, so any help will be greatly appreciated.

looking forward to ur help.

i'm with just cars... i pay $600 /yr

and can't afford any more than that

(and that's only 3rd party too)

...how much would it cost me all up to put that engine in?

i do want to get some quotes on repairing/reconditioning my engine too though and then compare and decide...

i'd rather get my engine rebuilt new than get a used one (as it may have been thrashed...etc)

not sure... i would say that it would probably cost more as u would have to pay for a new engine (unless doxxeh feels nice and wants to sell it for a couple of bucks :D) etc

worth a look tho man

u could try ICE in dissik st cheltenham for a quote... generally deal in Hi Performance cars like lines etc.

im sure there are others

i couldn't find ICE in the yellowpages uner "engine reconditioning"...can you pls give me a phone number? thanks

do a search in this forum for ICE and u will find em...

cant remember the number and stuff... someoen made a post last week looking for their contact details so it should pop up in the search.

1 more thing... there was a limited number of R32s released with the RB25DE if im not mistaken which also proves they should swap over quite easily in the way of room.

try www.meggala.com one of the locals webpages... should be lots of info on lines and stuff.

it says at http://www.meggala.com/meggalacomnew/frames1.htm

that the RB20DE is a free reving engine. so does this mean that if the cam belt slips, the engine should not be damaged? could the ppl i took it to to have it looked at be shifty and just saying that?
