Mate,

I feel your pain, I got an er34 gtt too, but manual. If im lucky i go through around 300+ on a full tank.... Im not sure if this is a common problem with the 34's.

must be an r34 thing, i just cant believe it, my VR SS 5ltr did about 350km per tank making the 2.5ltr turbo worst - basically i drive about 15km to work every morning of straight no stopping highway travel, i just dont get it.

Eventually i will replace the coilpacks and see if that makes a difference since r34 are known for there coilpack failures.

let me know if this works, cause i've only had my car for under 1 month and i must admitt that i have been giving the car the lead foot however i did own an r33 in the past and in comparison, the r34 does 100km less then the r33

I got an R34 GTT in auto as well... usually only get about 350kms out of a full tank.

There is another thread about installing the SAFC which will kick it up to 600? Surely this would remove performance?

If any of you two have good solutions, please let me know as well...

There is this one item on ebay for $30 which claims to increase fuel economy, just looks like a hose clamp to me - maybe that's the go?

hey

im also curious, as im in the market for a skyline but want a fairly decent fuel usage

how many km's would an R33 GTS (1993) get per tank? (Non-Turbo)

do you run that car on premium unleaded or regular unleaded?

thanks

I've owned 4 R33 GTSts and one R34 GT, all with RB25DET engines and no big turbos/fuel pumps. All cars use/d approx. 9.8l/100km on a combination of surburban traffic/motorway/highway. On a trip ie highway usually around 9.2l/100km.

Trackday - 25l/100km.

Mate,

I'd love to run in those specs, how was your driving habit though. Does these specs refer to staying off boost, changing gears within 2-3k revs. I think i might have to try not giving the car my fat foot, it seems that i get around 15-17ltrs per 100km. If anyone has any other ideas, please pm me...

Hey disturb3d,

do you have a stock skyline or have you modified it a bit?

because what bonkers has for his skyline seems to be the norm for those engines and models.

what fuel do you use bonkers in your skyline/s?

thanks

Its slightly modded, 3inch turbo back exhaust, pod airfilter, boost controller, speed delimiter, and thats about it. if the prob is with my 02 sensor, then i would replace the thing for sure
