Is it ok to jack the car up on the rear diff?

It looks like an alloy casing so will jacking on it hurt it?

Also can you jack the car in the middle at the front anywhere or do you have to do each wheel individually?

use a small block of soft wood if you dont want to damage the panel...

there should be jacking point...

unless you have the machine that lift up the car... polly have to do each wheel point!

Yes, block of wood under the diff.

At the front, jack under the X-member.

If from the side, DO NOT JACK ON THE CHASSIS RAIL (that's the one nearest the middle of the car), it will simply collapse under the weight.

Why would you not jack up on the chassis rail, this is the strong part of the chassis, whenever i put a car on the hoist i put the rear pads under the front of the rear subframe mounts and the front pads under the chassis rail near the front.

The only other place to put them is under the seal pannel, this is a ridge near the edge of the car on is where you put the small jack to change a wheel, not big enough are to lift up on the hoist though.

it is not advisable to jack on the chassis rail unless you are using a hoist as just jacking one chassis rail at a time puts to much pressure on a single point as it can colapse or bend the chassis section up
