this may be a stupid question but i was wondering is this could be done

get a r33 compressor and exhaust housing and machine them out to fit this

http://page13.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auct...ction/r10821691 (only buy one of them)

would this work? i was just thinking that a new high flow turbo costs about $2000 and if you did it this way it would cost about $1000. it would have brand new bearings and wheels. i know it wouldnt be the same as having a gt2530 but would it be reliable?

just a thought

anyone?

I suppose it also depends on how much it would cost to machine them and also how perfect they make it.

If the cost is too high to machine them and also depending on cost of postage and duty to import bearings, it might not be worth it if you are only saving a small amount?

If you search the net you can find GT series turbos for less than $2000.

I got a GT30R for $1700 but also found a guy in the U.S which said he would send it for US$1050 not including freight.

Check out how much someone like Precision turbo's would machine before deciding anything like this.

Hope that sort of helps.
