Whats it matter, perhaps a few errrors were made, completely understandable, i think everyone that was there knows who was doing the business, and those that were trying to emulate their favourite sprintcar driver:)

It was so crazy, thanks to all SAU comittees and Rexie's officials for spending time and put together a rock n' roll event.

I don't care if i come last or not but if anyone has footage of my car on their cam and don't mind make me a copy would be greatly appriciate, i'll pay or swap blanks ...ect

Love watching Mr Brisby rippin' it.

oh so that's what you were doin
Dave and Marky: Speed and accuracy are for showoffs like Snowy :)

Your 'form over function' approach was certainly enjoyable to watch - and the super taxi was GREAT FUN to throw around!

Thanks again Dave, and thanks to ah... your tyre supplier! :)

Yes the top players were great to see, but the day was made so much more enjoyable by the likes of you guys - and of course Pete's KnightRider reverse-turns - hamming it up and having fun. That's what it's all about :(

LOL! Well your comedic talent wasn't upto scratch so I figured maybe your driving might be a little better! Plus I just wanted an excuse to get back out on the skidpan ;)

Tyre supplier? I'm not quite sure what you are talking about :innocent:

Perhaps i should have read the Supp Regs a little closer...i thought there was a prize for "Car most likely to blow up" , i would have been in there with a chance along with Shiv, the wonderful sound of ignition cuts at +8,000rpm:)

muhaha yeh i'd have to agree - try closer to 9000rpm!

I'm happy that the car showed that its been modded sensibly and because of that can take a thrashing - still i'll take it easy on RWD mode on the skid pan next time :(

Interloper - thanks mate. I had a good time just having a chat with ya waiting for the next round of the 'khana.

Funky - yeh u're right dude, the semi comp rubber didn't help (that and the fact its the first time i've ever really driven it hard since i've only had it about 4months since it landed)

The people doing the timing were being "un-helpfull" as far as putting times down next to the right numbers (taking into account some numbers were missing due to withdrawals)

for which events???? (hopefully none of those i was timing!!!!) lol

Very pretty sunrise - Xtrail temp said it was 0 outside.

At this stage of the game, Blaise was thinking having Troy between his legs was the worst thing that could happen. Little did he know a shopping trolley lurked just around the corner...

    • Some sense has prevailed! What kind of idiot spends money on intake, heads, and cams for a N/A motor in 2025? Lol. What maroons. Source:I am King Maroon.
    • So, cams are not getting installed......yet  Had a good chat with MX5 Mania about intakes, they recommend not to get ITB's, they recommend a plenum style for the NC So, one of these puppies is being ordered, with a larger TB to suit, when it arrives from the US the car will go in for the cams and intake I'm also getting a fancy rear box bit for the air filter box which will suit the new TB size
    • Clamp meter is pointless. Unless you're trying to keep average current under a set value for some weird reason (maybe you undersized your wiring?), then you'll get no useful info. What you're really trying to target is the flow of fuel coming back to the tank. You want some, but not a lot. You also want to make sure fuel pressure remains stable.   So, fuel pressure gauge, and fuel flow gauge. Set it up from that.
    • Aside from the fact it is likely fuel related if it is black, the symptoms otherwise sound like worn valve stem seals. Oil gets past the worn seals when the engine is off and burns when the engine starts. If it happens on deceleration while driving (puffs of white smoke) that is another valve stem seal symptom because oil gets sucked form the head into the combustion chamber under vacuum with the throttle closed. They can be replaced in the car if you have some way to keep the valves closed while working (eg compressed air into cylinders) but is much easier with head off.
    • Alright, fair enough. Expected as much. Possibly, yes. However the kit is apparently not including every single hose and it is out of stock too.
