RB26 Engine numbers

Hi

Does anyone know how to tell what year engine you have by the engine number?

Ie. is there somewhere that says "Engine number 'x' started in 1991" etc

hey jimih well i been told as im after the same info of my rb26 engine and people have said to compare to engine number to others that u know the year of and it goes in numerical order obviously.

my engine no. is: RB26 001 820A

any info or ideas on that ? :confused:

maybe its the week of the year and the build number or something

Send a PM to Scott (C yar), he used to work for Nissan, and can look up exactly when your engine was built from the Nissan database:D

I checked mine the other day, its RB26 064*** A. I've talked to several ppl about this and they are all on the impression that the engine number is not progressional like the chassis number..but who knows..mine is a June 94 model.

I'd say a mid to late 1993 model

as mine was an 032, yours is an 035
