was an excellent movie. was a little slow in some parts, but i guess thats what happens in the book. most annoying bit was the dialogue between froddo and sam whilst there are 3 other fight scenes happening around them...

never read the book (you can't beat dolby digital 5.1 :D) but from all reports its pretty close to it...

out of the 3 BIG MOVIES currently screening ie. Star Wars, Harry Potter and LOTR, i would say "Chamber of Secrets" was the best comparing it to "Two Towers" and "Attack of the Clones"...

thoughts?

I havn't seen "Chamber of Secrets" so I can't comment on that one, but there is no comparison between "The Two Towers" and "Attack of the Clowns".

George Lucas should have his Director's privleges revoked for that one! :uh-huh:

What a piece of $h1t3. Hopefully for the next one they'll lock him in a room and ONLY seek advice on concepts from him.

"The Two Towers" while not the best movie ever made, and without the depth of character involvement as the first, is still a fantastic movie. Can't wait to see it again. :D

I've seen it, the battle scene was awesome, although for the ent creatures I expected something a bit more tremendous, not just some walking big chopsticks as how I see them...

The way the orcs invades Helm's Deep looks more like the Roman troops way of battle... don't you guys think?

I liked the 1st one better due to the fact that it shows more nice places & buildings of Hobbiton, Rivendell, Moria, etc... but since the 2nd part is mostly happening around Gondor/Rohan/Isengard, so I can't protest that it only shows the barren landscape in that area.... Great battle scene is the main feature of 2nd part...

Wonder what the 3rd would be like.

Well, I can tell you how it will end

"the hobbits take the ring to mordor, go up mount doom and..."

sorry, decided not to spoil it for you.

These are among the best movies I have seen, compared to other crap efforts (eg any stephen king movie), these have been really close to the book, and for a movie they make a good attempt at depth of story.
