Quiet Turbo

Hey guys, I bought a R33 turbo, Its had a fair bit done to it, although the turbo is silent, (stock 1) i think, what can i do to get some noise out of it, but dont want to use BOV or cooler and has to be legal, Also cant impare the performance. Thanks

pod filter will make it nice and loud. take it for a fang with the airbox lid taken off and the paper filter removed. only do this for a short 1 minute run to see what it sounds like,

if you like the noise and are happy with fit a pod filter, will sound exactly the same

you want to make the turbo louder??? you mean so you can hear it spool up?? isnt that a bit wank?? all you can do is put a pod on it, you will hear it sucking like a mofo, and you'll also be able to hear the stock bov releasing.

seems a bit strange to me, but anyway, each to their own.

Yer, Well i do like to hear some sort of a spool, You cant even hear the smallest whitle right now which is pretty boring, i bought a turbo car so i could enjoy hearing it spool up too !

a nice aftermarket dump pipe and you should be able to hear the whistle

or like others have said, stick on a pod and you will get loud sucking noises...

well, if you like to hear it spool, you'll have to get a 2835 or bigger. aswell has a pod, get a nice dump pipe, with a screamer, and you may start to hear something, a cooler wont do anything, but a bov will add more wank factor.

WTF? If you value your engine I would seriously recommend NOT doing this.

Really? I can quite distinctly hear my turbo. Stock exhaust, stock filter. If I turn the music off I can hear the whine, especially at about 2-3 grand - when the engine is not loud enough and turbo is already spinning. Love it

if you read what i said, i said try it for a short minute. 1 minute of operation surely wont kill anything

a mate of mine has a shaged turbo sitting on the bench of a rb20 that has a really nice whine to it ( almost will make you def ) mybe that is what you are after. :bahaha:
