I've been a fair few times Its a really good night, the last few times ive been weve organised it ourselves, its more fun to go with ppl you know - usually we do it on a friday night from about 530-930. It usually works out to be about $70 per person with a total of approx 15 people (that includes a bbq).

You usually get about 3 runs, each run lasting about 10 mins (2 cars on the track at a time). That doesnt sound like much but its plenty when you're there.

Good things that surprise people are :

1/ It really doesnt matter if youre takumi or crappumi

2/ It hardly damages you're tires as diesel and water are constantl poured on the track

3/ you can take as many seatbelted passengers as you like when you are on the track.

I could get 5 people to come fairly easily. If there is a decent interest i don't mind helping you organise it druzilla...

Its the small track on your right as you enter the gates. i think the other one is called the 'LVMA'. The one we use is designed purely as a skid pan.

Just to add to what I said previously its not high speed drift as some people imagine, it is slow controlled smooth movement - prob get to 40 kmh max usually less.

    • Hi all, I am putting an r33 gtst gearbox into a VL and have noticed what looks like a vacuum barb on the box (on top in the middle). Suspecting that it's a vacuum line but I'd like to double check, if someone could confirm the function of that would be great. Cheers in advance.
    • I’d love to find some where that can recover the dashes to look brand new and original. Mine has a very slight bubble, nothing compared to some I’ve seen though
    • $170K. I asked one of the guys there as a joke if that price was just for the passenger seat as it was where the price sheet was... he tried really hard to crack a smile 😄 He also mentioned that every single part of the car was inspected and either restored or replaced with a new or as new part, or made from scratch. The interior was incredible, every inch like a new car.
    • Time for a modernisation, throw out the AFM, stock O2s, ECU into the e-waste bin. Rip out the cable throttle, IACV, pedal, etc. into the scrap metal bin. DBW, e-throttle, modern ECU, CANbus wideband, and the thing will drive better than when it left the factory.
    • I agree, don't go trusting those trims. As I said, first step is to put the logger away, and do the basics in diagnosis.   I spend plenty of time with data loggers. I also spend plenty of time teaching "technicians" why they need to stop using their data loggers, and learn real diagnostics.   The amount of data logs I play with would probably blow most people away. I don't just use it to diagnose. I log raw CAN data too, as a nice chunk of my job is reverse engineering what automotive manufacturers are doing.
