Want Performance Modifications Done To Your Car Cheap Money Wise? If So, Look In Here

Recommended Posts

yep, and because if they seriously stuff something up, then have insurance to cover it etc .... oh, plus they issue a tax invoice including GST, which I can claim for my business expenses.

But I wish I didn't have to get things done professionally, as

1). EVERY single workshop (except GT Autosound) have ripped me off to the hilt ($70-$90 per hour is RIDICULOUS!!), and

2). Most of them don't actually do good quality work (again GT Autosound excepted) - and most don't give a crap about you or your car, they are interested in getting your job done and the next one in the door.

My 2c

i've heard a bit about gt autosound and seen their drift and drag car but thats all i've heard! What are they, a performance workshop with a dyno or what? what kind of work do they do! prices etc!

I have decided to just wait and save for a power FC and a FMIC bleeders don't come too highly recommended from a friend... so I guess Ill wait till then and then perhaps get a hold of you for that installation! Cheers anyway!

GT Autosound are mostly doing car audio, and some basic mechanical things too. They have no dyno, but are high quality at a good price.

Yep, I've taken a good look and there isn't a whole buch of room to plum piping or a homemade snorkle.

Cheers

co-incidently today while i help install a mates fmic, i noticed that he had a cai box for his car although it was on a r33. Now im unsure of the dimensions of its compared to the space in the 32, but if its similar i can use my friends cai as ad mould that to fit your's. btw do you know if the r32 gtr engine bay - where the pods are similar to the r32 gtst's even though the gtr has 2 pods there.

  • 3 weeks later...

is the area where the pod filters are in the engine bay for gtr/gtst's the same. I was thinking cai for gtr's would be a little bigger as it uses two pods instead of one?

Hi Nozila

Mate I have a dump pipe and cat I need to install in my car to replace the factory one, Do you do this type of job? if so how much would I be looking at? and when can you do it?

The parts are on their way to adelaide and should be getting here on Friday,

Cheers,

    • The small boxes will wear out the input shaft bearings.....if and only if you seriously exceed the torque input that they were designed to handle. It is very common for them to give up after a few years behind bosted RB20s and if you put a 25 turbo in front of them they can't last forever. Behind an NA RB20? Should last forever and ever and ever and ever. If it has died, it is from some sort of mistreatment, or perhaps extremely bad luck.

    • EDIT: Just a little info what my tranny is "doing" :   For the long time the trans do this "bad" sound:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qs_iTXgDt40 It is literally the same sound and same symptoms(when i push the clutch it quites down) So is it really the shaft bearing?   Also:  i found this on forums: The RB20 and SR20 boxes are nearly indentical inside (rb20 has longer mainshaft)and suffer badly from bearing and selector failures when driven hard   The bearing is true and selector failure kinda too...it is "harder" to get into gears specialy when i drive a little bit hard...
