Hand brake loose?

hey all,

just a problem with my hand brake, recenty yhe hand brake seems very loose,

and i have to pull it higher than before for the car to not move.

i was wonderin is this gettin dangerous?

what do i needto fix this?

new cables?

Probably just the shoes wearing a bit.

Climb underneath and adjust the cable.

You can simply tighten it up. There is a nut you can access from underneath the center console, and also there is adjustments you can make to the rear brakes to tighten up the handbrake.

i looked today i saw two bolts dat has come compeltely off...

hmmm i'll see if i can get to it..

there is a trick i saw on another forum you might wanna try...

reverse and pull up the hand brake.

apparently this tightens up the cable.....

i have tried it but as my hand brake was not so loos i do not really feel the difference... but the guy who posted it up said it worked....

worth a go i think and let us know of the results....
