Afaik the M-Spec come with the leather steering wheel similar to the GTR one. The black car appears to have the standard (like everyone else has been saying, non M-Spec) wheel, similar to the boring Silvia steering wheels.

Check out the gearshifts. The black car looks like it is plastic and the silver car has the M-Spec leather shifter.

As far as which one is 'better', if you can check out both in the flesh, do so. Cost out how much each car will cost to repair/replace/upgrade parts to what you want and take the cheaper of the two :(

Definitely agree with Pred, the silver car looks pretty tired and all the go-fast bits have been removed or are shagged. I wonder what the GTR bar for GTSt is worth? May be a consideration?

The 2nd one although lookin better has obviously lead a harder life by the look of it, grab the black one and spend some money to make her look better. R32 standard rims are only like $300ish with tyres and will make it look way better! Type M side skirts around $150 and bam it looks tha same as the grey cept better condition :mad:

Get the silver one. The km's arent to bad for such an old car. Silver looks awesome, the black one will just piss you by not being a Type-M when everyone elses is a type-m.

$2000 buys a fair bit of cleaning up, and i dare say you are getting it for damn cheap anyway. ($7-10k?) Thats almost half the price i paid for my r32 2 years ago...

Thanks for the feedback guys. Well after a lot thinking, moving back and forth, the deciding factor was the saving of $2000(which some will goto repairs etc.). So even tho its not as good of a car it looks like ill have to stick with the grey 1. Im only 17 and dont work that much so $2k for me is a lot of money. In my family i have a mechanic, auto elec and panel beater so labour to fix it wont cost me anything. Plus i dont want to spend much on eather car as i would rather save that money for a gtr.

So i guess this means the black 1 is up for sale ;) PM me if your interested.

the silver one might not have AM brakes, might just be red paint. Timing belts cost between 40-50 dollars but the labour can sometimes be expensive. But you said you had a mechanic in the family so it's probably ok. I'm going to change my timing belt when the car arrives, just for peace of mind.

black r32's look sweet. But I agree with Gordon, I suggest you wait till they are both here, then go over them both with a toothpick and make your decision. :P

Im not going to say exactly what i payed for the car but because i import them myself i save a lot of money. I was told i can get a whole new engine for under $1.5k so worst case i buy a new engine.

hes 17 years old...he simply cant save up and buy a r32 GTR or a r33. i was in the same situation. i had some money as was really interested in a r32 gtst. however, i wouldnt buy the first car that i looked at. i would look at a few more and see if you can get any better ones. my gtst ended up costing another $1000 to fix up before rego and after the car was land all up it was an extra $3000 or something to get on the road

i say, wait till both cars arrive, and decide then

i'd stay away from the first car if it has non-type-m brakes, 4 stud hubs. And drive both cars, see which one has tighter engine/gearbox/clutch etc. Also sometimes it's hard to tell from the pics how good the paintwork actually is. you may need to respray the grey one.

The rims on the first car look crap imo, even crapper if they are 4-stud coz you'll have trouble finding decent rims because most of the good stuff is 5-stud only.

If you post the cars vin numbers (HCR32-XXXXXX) i'll look them up in fast for you.

Rezzeh, the significance of that is that the 60th Anniversary Type M was released in 1993, not the regular Type M, which was a higher spec package on a regular GTSt from day one.

Actually, both cars are really not worth the money mate. The mileage is very very high. It is going to cost you lots of problems. Why don't you save up your money and get the R33? or the R32 GTR??

What? Most R32 GTSTs that have been in the country a few years are now up around the 150,000 to 200,000kms and to the best of my knowledge they dont have any major problems.

Problems , No. Maintenance, yes. The only thing that has failed on my car in just under 5 years of ownership is the alternator. Torn boots and rubber etc need replacing but they are the sort of things you can schedule/budget to fix whilst you are driving the cars in the meantime:)

They are expensive cars to own, fuel/rego/insurance/maintenance etc, but they are not problematic cars, even with high kms
