installed 2wd switch

hey everyone,]

thought i would put in a 4wd to 2wd switch today?got the details from the forum and followed all the instructions!

but some how it didnt work?keeped blowing the fuse?so i thought ill just touch the wires back to make it normal again until i get another switch,as i think that was the prob?but now it wont go back to 4wd and the power windows no longer work?any ideas?have a done something major????

uh oh sorry 2 hear that mate....umm not 2 sure what it could be...doesnt sound good tho...tried re-setting the ecu maybe? (if stock ecu)

not 100% on this but did u replace the fuse u blew? or was it just one in the switch you got? cause if u blew one in the car it might be one that controlls some other stuff check to see if your cigi lighter works its on the same fuse as ur windwos i believe i know this from installing sound systems alway come accross this fun stuff so yeah check ur fuses inside the car and see if that helps i didnt even know was it possible to make it go from AWD to 2WD?? with just a switch u need a bit more then just the switch to make it work dont ya? well dont know if this post will help u just though it might be an idea seeing ive done something like this once before

yeh i put a switch in and also put a fuse in serious with the switch and fuse block?ill have to have another play with it

if u blew the fuse in the switch it pretty much doing nothing right and with the fuse block (couldnt remeber wat the bugger was called lol) if u blow a fuse in there that can cause ill kinds of trouble when installing a system just cause i didnt grond someone correctly i blew one fuse that fuse took out my cigi lighter power windwos and water squiter thingos u know for the windshield so yeah all i had to do to fix was get a 50cent fuse and then it was all good hope it works
