R33 vs R34 - what components are interchangeable?

Hi everyone,

I'm thinking of upgrading to an R34, however I have a bit of an investment in suspension components on my R33. Just wondering, if I get the R34 how much of it can I transfer over, specifically:

Shocks

Springs

Swaybars

Strut braces

Castor rods

Hicas lock bar (do r34s have hicas?)

I would guess not much is compatible but worth a try

remembered an old article on the whiteline site from HPI magazine, re "project r34".

(go www.whiteline.com.au then "your car", "nissan", "project r34")

going on what this article says:

Shocks - no

Springs - no

Swaybars - yes

Strut braces - ???

Castor rods - ???

R34s do indeed have hicas but again i have no idea if the rack is identical to the 33 or upgraded.

PS if anyone has any more from that series of "project r34" articles let me know!!! i'm about to drop some $$$ on alignment things for my car... they list parts for the r33 but nothing for the r34.

Are the springs and shocks different. Could you put R34 shocks and springs into an R33??

I think the front springs and shocks from GTST go into a GTT but the rear GTT are like R33 GTR... or something like that.

castor rods: I am under the impression that r33/34 s14/15 "adjustable" castor rods are the same.

easiest way is to pull out the whiteline catalogue for R33s and 34s and see if the part numbers match up.

Chris, 32GTR suspension is too short for 33GTR or 34GTT - only 33GTR is compatible with 34GTT

Yeah u'r right. Sorry was a typo/ brain malfunction. I meant 33/34 GTR shocks are interchangable with 34GTT
