car missing from 5000 to 5500rpm?

Hey,

My car seems to be missing from 5000rpm to about 5500rpm, it happens mostly in 3rd and 4th gear (have not noticed it in 1st and 2nd). Its just like when my plugs werent gap right.

Is it my plugs again or coil-packs?

it shouldnt be the plugs, as they are platium and have only been in the car for like 10,000km

Brand doesnt matter, regap them to .7 or .8 see how you go Im sure that will most likely solve your problem

thats why ill never buy them.

use octance booster, or crap fuel or your fuel reg isnt working too good and you foul the plugs.

just cause they are meant to last for ages doesnt mean they cant degrade due to many reasons

cheers for the reply, i through it may have been the problem; didnt think they would last 100,000km but i gave them ago, by any chance would hitting the limiter lot foul the plugs?

not sure. ive never had a problem as i learnt years ago with my old coupe not to use em. So if mine foul i dont worry so much. Plus i do heaps of km's
