Morgs
R32 GTS4 was RB20DET (Factory Turbo) R33 GTS4 was RB25DE (Factory non turbo) No Turbo versions of the R33, at least from the factory Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/7947-r33-gts4/#findComment-115805 Share on other sites
rs73
I reckon R33 GTS4 is pretty rare isn't it... I only seen one in a dealer and it's even an automatic Needs lots of conversion to be done to make it a baby GT-R... As it's 4WD, the shell would probably take a GT-R gearbox too, so you can buy one if you found it anyway and then chuck in RB26DETT+gearbox and you got a cheap R33 GT-R... T0nyGTSt
Nah they turn up every so often on the J-Spec etc. etc. mailing lists. All you need to do is stick in an RB25DET. It has attessa, it has the 4wd gearbox... T. Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/7947-r33-gts4/#findComment-116185 Share on other sites

Wouldn't it be better to use RB26DETT, as it could use a little bit more power n torque to counter the power loss thru 4wd drivetrain... Maybe even a 2JZGTE from supra hehe, but hybrid will be more expensive to work on as engine mounts, gearbox may not fit and need some hacking.
