Wiring help for 12v power..

Ok, so im installing a profec e01 boost controller. Last thing ive got to do is power up the screen. This is where im having trouble.

There are only 3 wires, ground/power/rpm.

I tapped into the power (orange) wire that was powering up my head unit.

Reconnected the battery and woopsies...the screen had power to it without the keys even being in the ignition.

The head unit works fine on this and only turns on once the ignition is on.

Im thinking this orange wire is constant power and i need to connect the display screen only to the ignition wire? Anyone know which one that is?

The head unit will have 1 constant 12v power wire (for keeping ur radio settings and stuff) and 1 ignition on 12v wire (for running).

There are many wires you could use, just use a multimeter to find one that turns on with the ignition. I think the cigarette lighter uses one...
