Dan.

PS. if anyone has difficulties on the day please use the above number to call me.

Sorry to disturb in this little scene from "Skylines ER"...

On the way up, everyone who is bringing a radio... how can you be sure that you're all in sync with everyones frequency? Surely you don't all have the same radio?

Thanks

Guys - A few of us who can't make it up there early enough to enter into the show are heading up later in the morning.

So we are meeting at Thornleigh Maccas overflow carpark which is behind the Ibis at 10am on Sunday. By meeting at the Overflow carpark we will avoid the maccas traffic which is pretty hectic on Sunday mornings and best avoided for all those with hangovers (specifically directed at LANFOH!)

So 10am Sunday...we'll leave by 10:30!

Let me know if any q's

HOw many are going up with you guys????

do you have a mb number???

sorry to rain on people's parade......

hmm this may sound like a hassle but I dont have any of the tools to take out coil packs/fix the water in there

Dont suppose anyone can come over now and help me out? or even Monday?

If not then id have to take it to BD4s and get it fixed.

Doodz if you can't make it tomorrow and you can get your car to Mosman, pick up a metric socket set on the way i'd be happy to help you out.

Other wise if you can't get out here i'd be happy to jump on public transport and head out to the nearest station.

R34Nos - Thanks for the offer but im not going to be able to get there for the 5am wake up :)

SOMEONE in WRX tried to kill me...these guys in wrx came next to me on parra road and tried racing me ....wen i declined and ignored as parra road is not even worth driving fast even came in my lane without givin indicator and i applied brakes and went over the divider in the next lane and tried controlling the car came back into my again over the divider and stopped perpendicular in my lane...i missed so many cars ...but i think suspension is gone.. I HATE that wrx ..farrrrrrrrrrrkkkkkkkkkkkkk...i wanna kill him ....and he ****in ran away...

mate thats not cool!! you gonna be alright 4 the cruise tommorow? I recently had a close one where it wasnt my fault. At least the guy was curtious enough to pull over and ask me if i was okay. I know how much it scares ya.

damm manu :) sux0rs.... Last nite while driving from, at 2AM a BMW was going down president ave followed by an undercover police car, it was chasing it and half way down that main strip in san suci it did a U turn and went the opposite way and nearly hit so many cars including mine.

That really sucks Manu... so is your suspension wrecked because of some dick in a WRX trying to be top shit?

Well I hope you sleep well... I'll still be seeing you at 5:45 yeah? Same location, just give me a bell when you're close by!

    • Driveline vibration is resolved. I ended up loosening all my engine mount and trans mount bolts, giving it a good shake then retightening everything and it's gone... Let's just say I was surprised that fixed it.  I've been happily driving it around again but unfortunately put zero time into my direct port/constant pressure WMI setup. I'm on vacation next week, so I'll try and finalize it then.  On a different note, I spent all week fuel/ignition mapping 2x 216L V16 engines. Turbo's were burning glycol and we swapped them out for larger units. We also had planned emissions testing on site, so I figured I'd be there the same week to use their instrumentation and massage any emissions issues out if needed. This was a first for me. Fuel management is similar in certain ways to automotive (i.e air density as load variable) but very different in others. It's all PLC based and AFR's are controlled by air and not fuel. They use a control valve between the turbo and air manifold to control pressure which in turn controls AFR's. Due to this, target AFR tables supplied by the OEM are in pressures and not mass which really through me off. They use air pressure vs fuel pressure tables. I also relied on an O2 concentration sensor the emissions team had in the exhaust. Ignition timing was also all over the place and we were losing a fair bit of power. They're now happily sitting at 16-40BTDC depending on load. We were making about 1600kw at 900rpm at 90% load. Engines were running a lot smoother as well.
    • heh, aint no R32 ever meeting modern targa cage rules unless the driver is veeeery short OP, good luck with the sale, since its already in the land of freedom I'm sure you will find a good buyer.
    • meh, it was a good video, clear about the issue and how he dealt with it. A bit heavy on the RTV and very brave to put an RB in anything without rebuilding it first, but otherwise I thought it was good Dose, I'm not sure that having the pickup forward is a big issue; yes of course the oil could shift under brakes but the sump should never be empty enough for that to be a problem (unless you also have a higher volume oil pump, and that oil can't return from the head to the sump quickly enough)
    • I can donate $100 to your upgrade fund. So long as you can donate the IC7 my way....
    • I'd love a Haltech ECU, and Haltech 10 dash. Was having a chat with Rob and Andy @ Haltech when Rob put one in his MR2. First one I'm kind of interested in too, as you can dim it RIGHT down. Andy was saying bright dashes is one of his peeves too!
