well thats up to you guys to believe that but thats what the dyno sheet says and i haven't seen one that has lied before

Lol Many dyno sheets have lied before... There are dynos out there which are just plain inaccurate & there's also ways to cheat / fake dyno readings. They can involve messing with the AT & IT temps for a starter. Sorry dude but theres no other way to break it you you... There is no way your car is making 729 Nm based on the fact its 2L & running 16psi. 210rwkw sounds right, but 729 for Nm T is way off.

Maybe try to listen & learn what we're trying to explain to you instead of telling us we're wrong or being so certain you're right ‘with no facts to back your theory up other than "Dynos dont lie"'.

:P

Stop hi jacking this guys thread. It's called tractive effort and there's plenty of info why it's not always correct and how it works. Torque is a figure based from rpm and kw anyways so you can always work it out yourself.

My sr20 has around 650nm of torque according to the dyno. Big deal.

Maybe you should go learn about tractive effort mate... its not torque.. and what the dyno has told him is more then correct for tractive effort.. do some research before you go arguing with people. I have had this debate about torque and tractive effort so many times before its not funny so im not even gonna bother try explaining it, research it for yourself. In first gear my car makes over 2000NM's of tractive effort on the dyno.. its not wrong nor is it incorrect.

Yeh I get the different between the two. I was correct to say he doesnt have that much Nm in Torque. We're just talking about being specific here. I think people seen 729NM on their dyno sheet & think that comparable to say the Nm reading you'll see in Motor mags where they're actually at the fly & true figures to the engines Torque. So to say you have 729 NM torque is incorrect. If he corrects that to 729 Nm Tractive Effort in say 4th Gear well it's all good then isnt it. Why bother to even say you have XXX Nm based of your dyno sheet without specifying what gear it was pulled in also, without stating the gear it hold's no importance really. There's a quite a difference between say 3rd & 4th gear. & like you said, put it into 1st & that figure jumps sky high.

well it was in 4th gear and i wasn't the one who started this you did i am only going on what i have been told and what my dyno tells me. I don't need to go and do any research cause i am not that fused with the topic. It seems that geno8r is so but, and someonestolecc is correct you have just made a depate in someone else's thread

Yep explanation over... It's been explained to you that you have 729 Nm of Tractive Effort in 4th & not 729Nm T. Whether you keep your sig "729 Nm T" or not is your choice. I Just thought if someone was displaying something false they might want to be informed & learn something new? I think it’s good if some1 can explain something to me properly if I’m wrong, I spose I just like to learn & grow from the experience. Isn’t that a major factor of car forums, learn something new. Ehhh over anyways now. Enjoy your “729 Nm T” beast.
