Can anyone give me some names (and phone numbers if possible)

The guys name is Michael. Usually they can help out. Give them a try.

Ahhh thanks heaps Mavric & MissRB25DET!

I will give them a call/send them an email and see what they say about the sunroof seal, worth a try.

Haha Dandy is the bush, seeing as I'm out near the airport :) But I can make a day trip out of it!

Thanks again for the help, will post The Sunroof Centre's reply up here either way so people know they can give them a call or so people can suggest some other places to try.

Well, I called The Sunroof Centre...

They were very helpful in telling me that I need to find a sunroof seal in better condition from a wreckers or I'm stuck with a leaking sunroof. Something about because its a factory sunroof you cant just pull it out and put a new one in.

So I still need helpppp regarding this, can anyone reccomend some wreckers to try for the seal?

Thanks :O

WazR32GTSt, silicone would be a quick fix, thought I would do that (plus the cover I have for car) for now till I fix it properly...

MissRB25DET I called the guy and he was VERY helpful, however not want I wanted to hear. He said I wont find just the seal, that I will need to replace sunroof. He also said to say thank you to you for all the reccomendations, he is getting business from you mentioning him to us skyline owners :P

Thanks again!

some call cable ties a "quick fix" too...

i think they're both a viable long-term option :P

Thats really nice to hear :)I have bought a few things from them and never had a problem.

As for the sunroof, what are you going to do now?

i could have a look at it and devize an idea that would make it look OEM....possibly even get an original seal for it

SKYLINE_GURL... Anything this man says he can do.. He Can!!!

Troy is a top bloke hes helped me out numerous times....

Got the car delivered last night and found that the sunroof doesnt open and close, well it moves a cm and opens upwards a bit but doesnt slide open completely.

That wouldnt be just a seal like the guy said would it!?...

I couldn't tell whether the seal needs replacing, not sure where seals are on this sunroof. Is there a seal on outside edge of it that should sit flush with the car roof? That's how I thought it was meant to be but it has a gap all the way around the sunroof...

Can anyone understand what I mean, to explain what should look like?

Now I dunno if needs seal, service or replacinggg

I can hear the motor working and the sunroof moves a bit, just seems to get stuck and not go any further but I can still hear the motor working... might try oil/lube see if it gets it moving, save myself getting new motor/entire sunroof.

Will post a pic up of the sunroof tonight, showing seal, well 'lack' of seal on outside. So much fuss for a sunroof (that i didnt know the car had when looking at purchasing it) But with the melb weather I dont want to wait till it pours and leaks to find out!

Once again thanks for the help, ideas etc.

    • On the bright side, at least you knew that it happened and remedied before anything happened. A friend of mine just took his Fiat 124 to a shop for an oil change and they didn't tighten the oil filter housing properly. 4.5 quarts spewed out and even after refilling + tightening the cap the engine has a tick now.
    • So, more pain. The FAST manifold is a little larger than the stocker. This is problematic because there really wasn't much clearance to begin with, so going from 'barely enough' well into 'no' is sad based on the external dimensions of the thing, even though where it bolts to the head is the same. Result is the fuel rails sit a good 25mm higher, and this is a bit of an issue with the wiring that runs behind the motor, and the fuel lines, and everything else. When pushing the manifold on, it required a huge amount of force to crush wiring looms to fit it, sensors like the MAP sensor are about 1mm from the firewall, and the FPR just has to bend ABS lines to be forced into place. After some brainstorming and some sad drinking, the loom for some reason ran from the grommet behind the ABS sensor, then to the driver side head, then back to the passenger side head. So all of this was pulled back and stripped, a few wires cut and rejoined, so that the 'branch' was now on the passenger side's head as below: Before you basically couldn't see anything behind the driver head. This is much improved! The MAP sensor is now pointing up (instead of at the firewall) Brackets have been made up for the rail. The rails are for a LS1, the manifold is designed around a LS2 as it's base. Which of course has slightly different bracketry and water pump clearance, hence the mods people need to do. Should be hopefully mounted tonight. I spent money on a new FPR that is slightly more compact than my Turbosmart FPR1200. The gauge has also been moved to the rail. There's also apparently an ORB to AN Union instead of the adapter, because the ~25mm of the current adapter is going to make the difference. Provided this all goes together and arrives today, it'll be the totally not stressful attempt to start it.
    • This seems like a pointless exercise. There is no E30 availability. Ongoing availability of E85 should not be assumed. Flex-fuel is the only sensible approach, so you can use E85 when and where you can get it, 98 when that's al you can get, and anything in between as you fill it up and drain it down. And if that means replacing the pumps, fitting a flex capable sensor/ECU/whatever has to be done to these Renault shitboxen, then.....so be it?
    • Sorry, I wasn't very clear.....just that the standard injectors are apparently good over 600rwhp/450rwkw which you won't get to on standard turbos anyway.....they are much better sized from factory than we are used to in RBs.
