Hey i really need some help from some of you guys.

I just got my car back from a service and it turns out that the right rear wheel can be moved from left to right. It's the actual right hand side drive shaft.

Any help would be really appreciated as to what the problem is and if it can be fixed or if i need to be looking at a new diff.

Thanks

When you say move from left to right do you mean if you grab the wheel when it is off the ground you can move either side backwards and forwards a bit?

If so you need to get a suspension place to look at it. There is HICAS steering on the rear wheels but they should not move more than a tiney bit otherwise something important is loose

Yeah they say they can move it from left to right when it's off the ground. any place recommended in adelaide.

The drive shaft doesn't actually hold the wheel in position. So a crook drive shaft would not exhibit the symptoms you desribe.

Sounds more like a wheel bearing. Any half decent mechanic should be able to diagnose it.

So, it moves when you grab the wheel at "3 o'clock" and "9 o'clock" and shake the crap out of it? Does it do the same when you grab it at "12 o'clock" and "6 o'clock"?
