Removing the bars.

Hey all, i have a Uras kit on the way and need to know what the easiest way to remove the front and rear bars on my ceffy ?

Also what is the easiest way to attach the new kit with cable ties and screws? as I will be removing it for drift.

My front bar is held on by 2 zip ties either side of the wheel well (have a look under your guards).

The rear is held on by a couple of screws (haven't used the brackets it doesn't seem to need them).

Obviiously the stock ones will have more than that so I can't help find those but yeah, after you put the kit on you don't need much at all to keep it on

mine just has a screw on either end of front bar, and on the back the same deal with a screw at each end at the tops plus one in the middle at the top and one on the number plate bracket (had to remove middle section of lights to get to top middle screw). But mine also isn't stock bars, but hope that helped a little bit.

Just use those zip ties to hold it on mate

they work a charm

makes it so much easier to remove to repair drift damage

Thanks guys, think i will go with 2 zip ties on each side at the front of the wheel arch. See how it goes.

unsure yet... but i know standard FC rx7 front bars have 56 bolts... trust me... ive undone a few of them

Nooo dont tell me that ! Gonna take ages to undo if ceffies are like that.

From memory my front bar had about 6 or eight bolts, 4 on the wheel arches and two underneath, near the radiator. The rear bar has 3 on each side, and about 4 along the back. The ones on the side can be found where the spare tyre goes (on the left side) and where the jack goes (right side), 10mm spanner from memory. Hope this helps.
