HELP! I need some mesh...

As some of you are aware, Andrew and I are doing a road trip in Sinbad to good ol sunny Cairns in 2 weeks.

I've finally convinced Andrew that we should put mesh over the cooler, it's the one thing I'm concerned about.

The paint is easily fixed, it's ****ed anyway, so I don't really care if it chips. The cooler on the other hand, I don't really have $2500 to replace.

So, if someones got some mesh lying around that they don't want/need (big enough to over lap the M-Spec front bar hole), and would like to donate it to my "help erin protect her cooler on the way to cairns" cause, please let me know!

Alternatively, we can just go to supercheap and pick up some of their mesh for $30 and some sikaflex for $25 and be done with it.

In true Andrew style, he wants to use zippy ties

BTW... if you want it back, by all means you can have it back. The mesh is only staying on the car from the 28th July till the 3rd August.

I've been informed that we can use sikaflex by 2 different guys that work for panel beaters. Apparently we can just "heat it up and pull it off" when we get back.. Has anyone used/done this before and can confirm it?

I'm just worried that with cable ties, it will be able to move around and at high speeds, it might vibrate and start cutting away at the plastic.

Don't use heat risitant Sikaflex...use the regular one otherwise it will be a bitch to remove without melting your front bar...

Also another idea that I have used before is wire fly screen from Bunnings, the plastic stuff would most likely not be strong enough!!!!

i used carbog to hold mine in place. it sets hard QUICK !!!!

Use some fly screen........attach it to your front bar, preferably an inch or so in front of your cooler.........then when you return simply pull it off.........for the estimated cost of about $1.80

Someone did mention fly screen but we are a bit concerned it wouldn't hold up over 4000k's... is it really that strong?

metal fly screen should be able to do the trick Erin, easy enough to cut too. (sharp stanley knife should do it. )

Erin, your car is fast, but it dont do 4000kmh. It should be fine. Just supervise Andrew if he is putting it on, make sure its done rite

The mesh I had is all gone now anyways and yeah it would of been too heavy duty.
