Are you serious? I think you need to calm down for just a second. The spelling is insolent not insolant.

I hate it when i share info from my years with working on motor cars and some shit head come in today and picks a post fight with in his first 3 posts... at the age of 13.... Ive had it with know all's.... The topic was for help and suggestions... If you dont agree then dont say so. Just post what you would do not disagree with what some one else would do...

About 2 years ago i purchased an r32 GTR front cut. Over the next 3 months I implanted it into a VB commodore (cheap car to piss off the common dore hoons) This car set me back 6k for the half cut (sold the trany/intercooler & front axel for 2.5k) Then spent this money on pfc/fuel pump/dyno time/jun cams and it achieved 312rwkw and the car is almost indestructable. I used the brakes from a later commodore as gtr brakes were not compatible with out extensicve mods.

Total project cost inc car 8g's tuned and sold it for 15g's

So i guess im just a beginner...

hmmm dude if u read my post carefully i asked "what mods can u get for 2k to achieve 300kw out of a rb26" i end up getting ur flamage...SORRY O son of rajab for my CARELESS ACTIONS

As for the rb25det motor you already have!!!!

It depends on the damage caused from the first blow out. But pistons/rods/bearings and of course injectors are must's. Cams/pfc/fuel pump & tuning are all needed to continue the power for a decent amount of time...

Stage 1

Pistons $1000

Rods $500 (use shocked rb25 ones)

bearings $240 (use standard new bearings)

Injectors 550cc $1000 (HKS/Nismo/Sard what ever brand)

Stage 2

Cams $600 (jun/hks... used would be fine also)

PFC $1000

Fuel pump $280 (bosch 040)

Tuning $???? anywhere up to 1 grand

Thats what i did....

Cheers Colin

stock fuel rail?

Your always gonna need a gasket here and a meat pie there so its always a good idea to have a spare $300 for extra's....

Like new oil and coolant... you know just price out the major bits and leave a spare few dollars to get the little bits....

ah iam "sooo sorry" anyway back on topic....u might wanna have a larger cooler like say..600x300x140... "if u wanna go rb26" like col says than trust T517Z would be a good set up for 350-400kw etc.....take the jms r33 gtr for example it has alot of work done to it and it runs near 400kw....so i dont think 6k is enough, jus my 2 cents...dnt want any1 to go crazy flaming

A 23 year old arguing with a 13 year old self certified engine building specialist, how entertaining.

Husnu, can you confirm exactly what modifications you currently have? If you are going to build your engine, do it right the first time.

teh speed/asm/hot4s/ nevah liez~!

im in the middle of getting my rb25 rebuilt, costing me $7500 which includes labour , parts plus tomei pon cams step ones. engine out engine in plus running in on the dyno. wont go into long list of parts but using wiseco forged pistons and fully prepped gtr rods. i think the engine should be strong enough for up to 350rwkws but will only be pushing 280 to 300 rwkws inthe future . hope this helps you.

Always good to hear from someone who has either done the build or is in the middle of doing so when looking for factual info :)

Forged pistons and GTR rods seem to be a popular combination

Am nearly done on a build myself looking for similar output

Greddy Plenum $1100

Q45 throttle body $250

Q45 AFM $250

Hybrid 600*300*76 intercooler $300

Apexi PowerFC $1200

Apexi AVCR $600

HKS adjustable cam gears $300

bosch 044 fuel pump $300

SX adjustable fuel reg $300

Fuel surge tank $100

Tomei timing belt $150

Tomei 256 poncams $900

Tomei valve springs $400

nismo 740cc injectors $900

Venolia pistons $1800

Argo Rods $2000

Headwork reco, port and new retainers $1500

Machine work $1000

Assembley $800

HKS 3037 turbo kit $4000

Jim Berry single plate Clutch $1000

think i've gone a bit overboard for the power i want!

What turbos was this thing running for that sort of power? You would be the first person i have read of making that sort of power using std turbos like suggested by"bought a front cut"

Also why would you need an aftermarket fuel rail, there are plenty of bolt in injector upgrades.

It sounds liek you are not going to be able to do a lot of this yourself, so id be listening to the ppl you plan on using for the rebuild. But the nuts and bolts of what id be using is std crank, RB26 rods, and CP/Arias pistons. Get the foundations right then from there you can always eaasily bolt in cams, injectors etc further down the track.

    • Damn it, I was at work last night, and stayed in a room there during the storm with the car outside, but undercover, I just went downstairs and well....there was a large steel locker that has come from some place last night, it wasn't anywhere I could see yesterday, and yeap, it landed on the fraking car....of course it did..... LOL So, I'll need to take it back for paint and panel, luckily it was only the boot that took the hit, so it could have been worse Serves me right for staying at work and getting on the cans with some of the boys
    • Yeah, really happy with how it all turned out As for aftermarket lip, nah, I'm not really a fan for practically reasons on a street car that gets driven everywhere  I did have the full lower kit on my 2015 STI, but found the front lip scrapped alot, even at stock 4x4ish ride height As the NC sits now, with the lowest point of the car at 110mm, so just legal, some steep driveways and steep speed humps will still "just" scrap those little plastic OEM air dam thingies on the undertray just before the front wheels
    • Here's one I help build and tuned a decade ago, Garrett  GTX3071R Gen 1, T3 twin scroll 0.83 rear housing. Went from larger 272 cams down to smaller Tomei Poncams to help with the low end. S13 non VCT motor. Car was purpose built for the track, hence low down was the focus. Note the actual dyno chart shows lower boost, however the EBC and boost gauge showed 1.9Bar (Ignore the torque, I was young and didn't know how to set derived torque)
    • I’m doing some side developments on SR20det S13 engines, its one my hobby cars used it to compare flow capacity of some smaller size wheels. SR20det is one of another JDM legendary engines I'm sure there are plenty of SR enthusiasts on this forum, I will share results some common turbo configurations here. a quick run down of what the car is: Wide body 180sx Type X with black top engine (blue). It has: Stock bottom end Haltech 1500 ECU 5-0 motorsports trigger kit Kelford SR20DET Beehive Spring with Titanium Retainers Kelford Cams SR20DET S13 188-B 268/272 Cams G25-660 Turbocharger in T2 .64 rear housing internally gated ARP Head studs MLS head gasket 1000CC ID injectors Walbro 450L Fuel pump Front mount cooler kit JJR’s 3 inches turbo back exhaust (its too short for the 180sx it had to be extended) Pump 98 fuel Hub Dyno tune So far made 270rwkws at 22psi full boost by 4500RPM. Engine is very knock limited hence a pretty bad looking top end. From previous experiences it seems like SR20dets are happier with bigger size turbine, some thing like a GT30 would make way better top end, but on same time response is lost. It won't be a problem with S15 VCT engines. I'll be testing alternative turbine housing, turbine wheel and possibly dump pipe options for extra flow to resolve the problem and of course E85 would resolve all the issues.
    • Awesome writeup and details. Thanks for sharing the story so far. I can relate to parts of it with my previous car and some of the issues I had to deal with.
