Hi, i recently purchased a 1991 300zx, today for the first time i noticed that when the ignition is turned on with the car going or not their was a bit of a buzzing sound. I traced it to the console above your head with the map lights thingy. Inside of the panel is a small electronic conponent (diode or something) and above it a small electric fan. The fan is making the buzzing sound, i was just wonderring if anyone could tell me what the fan does, and can i just disconnect it or get a new one.

Are translated manuals available somewhere also?

Cheers.

Nick.

Nick, the fan is part of the climate control and tells it what the ambient temperature is inside the car.

You can access an article on it here: http://aus300zx.neuralmotion.com.au/tech/acfan.htm

Welcome to Zedding :)
