modified r33 engines

For those of you with "contacts" in Japan are modified r33 gtst engines hard to come buy, and in the long run would it still be cheaper to buy a moded one rather then modifying one here in Australian?

Best bet would be to find a good importer, with some real good contacts in wrecking yards in japan. But most engines getting around have bolt ons rather then actual internal work. So finding a modded engine won't be easy. But if you can get a good importer, they may be able to get some internals from japan at the same time.
