Yeah mine does it also.... r33 4 door...... you can hear a relay or something clicking in the door, but nothing happens.... then all of a sudden it works..... havent really corellated it to anything else to make it work etc ...... strange.

Just keeping everyone update, well I pull the door trim off, only to realise that the door plastic grab handle ares comes of by itself without having to remove the door trim. There is a screw in the grab handle well that u need to remove and use a flat screw driver to prise out the hard plastic trim piece. Once you have gotten this far, donot unplug the combi plug from the car as you'll need power to the combo-button assembly test the buttons.

Turn the whole assembly over and you'll find 4 screws which needs to be remove and then the window lock button have to be remove by lifting it straight up as in reverse to the pressing action. This then allows the assembly to be expose and 2 smaller screw to be remove and the internals of the elctronic circuit board expose.

You'll find that the area that matches the driver side door is a small rectangular sliding switch, that has 3 separate possition, I've notice that over time it has move or force away from the square passenger side button which somehow allow the sliding mechanism to fall out of contact. So a quick look on your door trim, you'll find inorganic foam, which you'll need a small piece which then have to be forced between the square rocker switch of the passenger side and the sliding switch of the driver side, somehow this pressure creates contact inside the sliding switch.

On reassembly make sure that you line up all the rocker and sliding switch to the respective hook up point and reassemble in to the door trim.

One thing you'll have to remember that is , to unlock the window button.

I though i screwed up and had to pull it apart for the 2nd time only to realise the windo lock button was on when i re assemble it.
