Remove the ABS for starters.

You will find that it will depend on the type of diff your car came with from the factory makes a difference.

If you are running the R200 already, then you can use diffs from SR20det S13/R32 skyline/R33/34 skyline (need to change the backing plate).

Or of course cefiro or laurel diff.

Does anyone know how to identify a R200

I cant find anything in repair manuals, im guessing i have a R200 in my cefiro at present.

I need to swap my diff to register it as the cops in WA aint exactly mech. LSD friendly

I have checked out s13 diff(unsure if its turbo or non turbo as is out of car) but the drive shaft has different bolt up points

LOL as if the police would know if you have a mechanical diff or not. My Cefiro was registered and engineer approved with a mechanical diff in it. Say "LSD" to a copper over here and they'll just say "open your glovebox, this is a random drug inspection".

Peace out.

I've changed mine from R180 to R200. My R180 was 6 bolt, the R200 5. But this is not always the case!! My mates 180SX has an R200 with 6 bolt half shafts.

Best way to identify would be to measure the diff from half shaft to half shaft. The R200 is wider. Hence why you need the different axels, its not just the bolt pattern. R200 axels are thicker and longer than R180.

You don't need to do anything to the end of the tail shaft, mine bolted straight on.

I still have my R180 sitting in the gararge. Too bad its absolutely worthless. I can measure it for you if you like.
