push/pull type clutch

Is there any advantages/disadvantages using push/pull type clutch or is it merely to suit which setup your car is using?

What is the push/pull type clutch on each of:

- R32 GT-R

- R32 GTS-t

- R33 GTS-t

- R33 GT-R

- R34 GT-t

- R34 GT-R

Apparently R33 GTST's series 1's are push type, series 2 pull type? After some searching...

Is it the same for GTS?

all r33 gtsts are push and the gtr are pull, 32gtr is pull 32gtst is push and all r34 are pull.

I think most 32 GTRs are push (my 1990 is) pull came in later 32R's (93 as a guess?).

I assume since over the years Nissan has moved to pull, that its superior in some way...

So pull has a pin to pivot on, instead of the slightly unreliable pivot ball. Of course they could have still used a pin joint with a push....
