hi guys,

fitted an LT12 ECU, and just recently the car sometimes just wont start. It cranks and cranks with no sign of life. Then if its left for a night, it will often start up straight away the next morning!

Also i may have just been for a drive, so its all warmed up, then ill get back in and it wont start - i had success push starting it once or twice, even though the battery cranks the motor fine.

Now its just dead. I tried push starting it down my road, only to get it stuck at the bottom of the hill, and i had to tow the bastard back up.

battery is fine, just wont fire.

Thought plugs might have something to do with it, so i changed them, (needed doing anyway) but no result.

My dad reckons the injectors arent firing when the engine is cranking coz he cant smell petrol out the exhaust?

please help!!!!!!!!!!

Do you have an alarm, get that checked and make sure the cut is not on the fuel pump as i had an alarn that the imobisiser wouldnt turn off on.

Pull the fuel line off and see if there is fuel there when you are trying to start. If there is then it can only be the injectors or something stopping the spark.

well ive found the problem. The ECU. i pulled the microtech and plugged back the factory computer and it fired first pop.

bloody hell! not happy!

I want to put back my AFM so i can drive around, but it looks like some of the wires from the plug to the AFM have been bastardised by the microtech install. Anyone know the deal with this!?

:D :D :( :(
