I just received a lewtter from the EPA saying that my car might not Blah blah blaH!!!!

i HAVE TO TAKE IT IN ON THE 19TH OF THIS MONTH so that they can test it.

What do they test for? And is it just for emission(better replace my decatted cat)????

My car isnt even loud so i dont think noise will be a proble.

Also will i have to change the fmic, bleed valve etc.

no way is ur car loud u'll probebly get like 90 db maybe a bit more

anything over 90db is not legal for your car. i received a letter from them a couple of months ago, changed my muffler to a more quiet one, had it tested in d/nong, paid the $27.50 testing fee [f***in P**ks] and all was ok [was 87.5 db but was not a skyline, was a modded trx]. I think they tested for emissions too but noise is usually the reason for the letter - unless of course u are chugging out heaps of smoke at the back :confused:

i think i might go get my zorst checked out... no way in hell its 90db its quiter than most aftermarket exhausts ive heard so far... but would be good to see what it is and that way i have something to prove it if anything pops up

I received an EPA notice awhile ago and when they test the noise level, it must come in at less than 90db.

When we took a totally stock R33 GTR to get tested, it rated at 89db.

90db isn't as high as you think it is.
