265/35/18 - fit to stock guard?

A question to those who has 265/35/18 rear tyres fitted to their R33 GTST. Would it fit to the rear guard without having it lipped?

Next question, my rear rims are 18"x8.5". Would 265 be way too wide for the rims?

Hey mate,

I run 18x9.5 rim on the rear of my car with the 265/35/18 tire... I can go 275 if I want, but 265's came with the rim. My rear gaurds didnt need rolling, and sit at least 2mm with the tire tucked under... VERY VERY CLOSE! Anyhow, my car sits pretty dam low, approx 2inches lower than standard, and ill also be getting a whiteline camber kit to help my traction problems.

With the camber kit in and dialing more positive camber in, I will definately need to roll my rear gaurds..

My rear rim also has a 35 offset if that helps you out too.

yes and yes.

265s will fit, no problem.

but they will be way to wide for an 8" rim. 215s fit square on an 8" rim.
