Sydney ppl help - R34 Xenon Headlights

My R34 just arrived, i assumed we could just remove the Xenon globes and put them back in car after compliance. However the compliance guys said that once they are removed, they wont work again (something about gas in them). I dont know much about the xenon setup and how it works.

If there are any sydney people out there who can lend their non-xenon r34 headlights (complete headlights) for a couple of weeks (can pay rent fee).

Other than that, my only choice is to remove it and lose it.

Any help, advice will be appreciated.
