Hey guys, i have an r33 series 2 and when i changed the stock bov for a atmospheric venting (pssshhh) the engine cracks it and dies when it goes off, any way round this or do i have to get a hybrid for 3 times the price??

people said that about the r34, however the GFB Mach1 BOV works fine. i contacted GBF if it didnt work and they suggested to adjust the vacumme nipple which would cause the BOV to close sooner. What brand BOV do you have? try contacting the manufacture since, yes, an atmospheric type does work.

Something wrong with your vacume line? That sounds like a very strange thing to happen...

Edit: Assuming we're not talking about the backfiring problem when using an afm.

the vacumme nipple thing on the end of BOV is adjustable, thats only thing that is suggested to be adjusted to stop the engine from stalling however i didnt need to with mine - factory default adjustment worked fine.

Also, dont forget get to plug the return pipe.
