Ok.. who here has been for the full EPA Test.

I CBF'd calling them so im wondering do they put the car on a hoist or not.

I know all the rest of the crap they are gonna check, just not sure if the look underneath the whole car. lemme know

yes... yes they will.

they even did it to josies soarer which was stock apart from HKS pod and exhaust... altho for testing purposes the exhaust was stock too

they put it up... checked all under neath... the engine top and bottom.... did their emissions tests etc... let her off with the POD and she was on her way.

When I took mine to Mcloud a few years ago they only popped the bonnet and had a look, had a look under the car, and did noise and pollution test of the exhaust.

There was no hoists there, just 3 drive through checking bays.

Emissions, noise and general check of car and engine bay.... type of turbo etc

when i had to take mine to mcloud they didnt put my car on hoist either, the the usual emmisions check, engine check and db check, the guy that was doing the db check was the biggest smart ass and i felt like smashing him

Q: Do they check interior (dash/under dash/glovebox/any other hidey places) for A/F type mods?

They will try, so just lock your glove box and leave a big mess in the car like dirty old socks so they will not dare move your cruddy old socks to check anything

yeah what ash said....doesnt work if your running an aftermarket ecu...which is illegal anyway. at least some of them. not 100% on that. i had replaced my pfc with a stock one..just in case. but it didnt work for them so they checked the ecu and it was the standard one. mine musnt work too well! hehehe
