hi im looking for a waste gate spring for my garret 42mm gate

currently it has an 11 pound i was hoping to get a 7 pound and use a boost controller to run higher boost when need ive tried ringing round ie. garret and a few other turbo mobs in melb but to no avail does any one have any ideas on who i can ring or what i can do

also im looking for a electronic boost controller any type really

Whats the max boost you want to run? Keep in mind the further from 7pounds you run, the harder the EBC will find it.

was looking to run bettween 11-14

you may get a shock as this is on a 192 holden six running autronic in a 1968 hr x2 sedan

suggestions on boost controller?

well it depends on what turbo and how handy you are. if its a stock r33 turbo and good boost controller is an r32 gtst actuator. then you dont need a boost controller

paul i dunno if you read the top post but its an external gate so yeh not anything like a stocko turbo on an r33

ok. if you wanna run 11-14 psi i would strongly suggest you leave the 11psi spring in there and use a bleed valve. no need for an EBC as the gate will do most of the work anyhow.

Im doing the same with mine. 17psi spring (combo of 10/7) and it runs about 15 off the gate. Stupid turbosmart sh|t.

I've run upto 24psi and the thing holds fine just using a bleeder, no spike or anything at all.

However, if you do really want to use a 7psi spring give Simon @ ProMaz a call (thomastown).

They are dealers for Turbosmart gear and i've purchased about 4 different springs through him to date. They take 24hours to arrive.
