whos elec motors busted??

my electric window on my drivers side goes up a few inches then makes this loud noise and doesnt move ne where and has to be helped by my hand...how stupid is this...new motors cost around $400 and wreckers ones still cost 270 or there abouts....ive herd u can kinda repair them ne one ?

I just replaced driver's side.

Nothing in there repairable. The nylon gear drops a couple of teeth so you have to help the window up. Sounds like a tree shredder.
