rebuilding turbo (where)

I am after some places which can rebuild a plan bearing, oil cooled turbo (turbo needs rebuilt due to having some shaft play)

I did a search and came up with only one place per4manz. If anyone can recommend any other places, it would be very helpful

will the r34 turbo bolt straight onto an r33? also is the r34 one different from the r33 stock turbo

ATS in O'Connor. 'PSIGTSII' has had one rebuilt by them & replaced the ceramic wheel with a steel item for 1K

sorry to dig up an old thread....does anyone know how much it cost to rebuild a stock r33 turbo....its off my stagea but i guess they are the same...turbotech quoted 1800 for a rebuild and 1900 for highflow ...wtf!!!

does it really cost this much to rebuild a turbo?

You can't rebuild any of the stock turbos. All the parts are obsolete now.

You can get it high flowed by slide for about $800

mm, that sounds about right, GCG highflows are usually $1900ish..

"Slide" on these forums will highflow an RB25 turbo for about $1000 if you supply the turbo, but i believe he has quite a delay..

yea ...i know highflows were in the ballpark...but 1800 for a standard rebuild with bush bearings and steel shaft did sound kinda overpriced.

gcg hiflow iis 1900 like mitchy said and ther are ball bearing highflows, u get a new cartridge and steel wheels.
