Basic set-up

GTT injectors (or equivalent top-feed items)

GTT fuel pump (or equivalent high-flow pump)

GTT intercooler piping and I/C (the R33 set can be adapted fairly easily, basically the same)

Crossover pipe + BOV (will need to cut this down if you use it) other option is to use an aftermarket BOV and steel elbow.

R34 or R33 turbo + exhaust manifold

R34 or R33 dump and front pipe (R33 one will need modding to fit as it is too short)

Exhaust is a must, the stock one is very narrow

Most importantly engine management! Depending on if you go manual or auto will decide what you put in…this is the most important bit as the car won’t even think about running if you don’t have it right

Basically a lot of the things above can be substituted for after-market gear, but if you want to do it quickly and economically just grab bits from a stock car that you know will fit.

I don't think I've missed anything, if I have give me a shout.

Here are some pictures of the engine in my old car (all the bits are from an R33)

thanks dan

ok here is the way i propose to do it when i get around to it

firstly i will have an auto coz i cant be ****ed with manuals anymore (living in town makes you lazy)

ok anyway i think i would get a neo turbo engine and ecu

rip out the n/a

swap over the sump etc onto the turbo engine and whack it in

throw in the turbo ecu

install a front mount, upgraded fuel pump, aftermarket fuel management

3 - 3.5 exhaust system

get it tuned

have a fun day :D

actually wouldnt even need the turbo engine ecu if i was getting aftermarket would i

You cannot fit the front drive sump onto a normal RWD turbo engine, the blocks are very different around the pan rails (much wider).

The only replacement engine that will drop straight in is the RB26.

If you want a turbo 4WD RB25 you will need to rebuild your existing engine with turbo pistons to lower the compression ratio.

The only replacement engine that will drop straight in is the RB26.
Not really, there are a few guys selling the NEO RB25DET 4WD drivetrain out of series 2 stageas...tiptronic boxes on them too :D Very easy transplant, honestly your best option.
